Ken & the Spider is Kandace's big debut. Since the publishing of her book in August 2015, she has been touring all over Southern Ontario at various bookstores in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and Hamilton. She also has had the opportunity of visiting various schools and libraries in the city of Toronto.
Kandace has received a positive response from children and teachers, and has received two reviews from major publications (Inside Toronto and Jamaica Gleaner).
What has made this experience very special is that part of the proceeds from Ken & the Spider has gone to "Mind Over Matters," an organization started up by her mom, Elaine, to help youth with mental illness.
