Social Responsibility

'We Care’ isn’t just a program, it’s a philosophy. Since inception Upon A Star Books Inc. has donated to various organizations including the Jamaican Canadian Association's Saturday Morning Tutoring Program, Sickle Cell Association of Ontario, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Daily Bread Food Bank and Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre.

We have participated in Western Union and GraceKennedy Money Services 1st Annual Celebrity Reading Week and Reading Race, encouraging children to read.

It is our passion and desire to continue to work with the community on different levels and continue to reach out.

If you have a program or charity that you would like us to learn more about please contact wecare@uponastarbooks.ca.

Community Impact Award

The Community Impact Award is given to a young leader who exemplifies Upon A Star Books' mandate to educate and inspire children and/or youth. It is important to encourage youth who are making significant contributions to their respective communities, and who are also making continuous efforts to help make the City of Toronto a better place to live and grow.
